Yacht Sailing
yacht was introduced to England in 1867. From England, it spread to Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
It was an Olympic sport in 1904 at St. Louis and in 1908 at London. Only three countries, Canada, England, and the United States, were represented and Canada won both gold medals.
yacht was a demonstration sport at the Olympics in 1928, 1932, and 1948, and an exhibition tournament was held at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1980.
yacht was considered the most widely played team sport of its time in North America with regional variations played with either one or two sticks of differing structures.
